What’s open and closed on Remembrance Day

Saturday is Remembrance Day and some services and businesses will have changed hours or will be closed.

Grand River Transit will operate a regular schedule, but will observe a moment of silence at 11 a.m. to mark Remembrance Day. The following routes will be detoured for Remembrance Day ceremonies: 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 16, 20, 55, 57, and 204. Additional information can be found here.

All waste management site will be closed, but will reopen for drop off on Nov 13.

In Cambridge, on-street parking will not be available from 6:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m in the following locations for parade routes:

  • Veterans Way from Ainslie St to Concession St
  • North Square and South Square from George St. to Grand Ave
  • Walnut St. from Water St. to Ainslie St.
