Kitchener Centre by-election to be held Nov. 30

The date has been set for Kitchener Centre’s provincial by-election.

It will take place on Nov. 30.

A writ was issued on Wednesday, Nov. 1 under the Election Act that the election would be held the fifth Thursday after the writ was issued.

The Kitchener Centre seat has been vacant since Laura Mae Lindo stepped down in June to move into a role with the University of Waterloo’s Department of Philosophy.

The candidates who running for the seat include Debbie Chapman representing the NDP, Aislinn Clancy for the Green Party, Rob Elliott representing the PC’s, and Kelly Steiss for the Liberals Party.
