Police take man safely into custody after he climbs on crane

A man in distress was taken safely into custody after he climbed on top of a crane in Kitchener on Tuesday.
Regional Police found the man in distress around 3:15 a.m. in the area of Francis Street South and Halls Lane West.
They negotiated with him for about an hour before he was safely brought down.
No one was physically hurt, and the man was taken to hospital for an assessment.
Early yesterday morning, police negotiated with an individual in distress atop a crane in downtown Kitchener.
The individual was safely brought into police custody and taken to hospital for an assessment.
