Kitchener man arrested after $430K worth of vehicles seized by police

A Kitchener man is among three people facing multiple charges related to vehicle thefts.

It comes after police had been investigating reprogramming thefts of high-end vehicles since June.

Waterloo Regional Police stated that vehicles were taken from the areas of Pioneer Tower West, Eastbridge and Breslau.

Police arrested three suspects related to the thefts on Thursday and seized four vehicles at a value of approximately $430,000, as well as heroin, vehicle break in tools and reprogramming tools.

A 24-year-old Kitchener man is charged with possession of stolen property, possession of break in tools, possession of a master key and theft of a motor vehicle.

A Brampton man and a Toronto woman were also charged with several offences, including possession of stolen property.

All three were held for a bail hearing and the investigation is ongoing with more charges anticipated.

Police warn individuals to protect against this type of theft be insuring your keys are always accounted for and never left in your vehicle.
