Wellesley Township adopts four-day work week

Workers with the Township of Wellesley Administration Office have a new permanent schedule.

After a one-year trial, the township has now fully adopted a four-day work week.

The trial saw some workers working the same amount of hours in a condensed schedule.

Some workers worked Monday to Thursday, while others worked Tuesday to Friday.

The township posted a notice to its website outlining the change which also outlined core office hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

It asked residents to check all staff schedules by visiting the Compressed Work Week Schedule.

The notice goes on to say to make an appointment with staff to ensure availability.

“We continue to strive to provide the best service to our residents and are encouraging residents make an appointment with staff to ensure availability, contact staff today. If you require immediate assistance during office hours, please call the office at 519-699-4611 and another staff member would be happy to assist you.”
