A man is in hospital with serious injuries, after what police are calling a large disturbance and stabbing in Waterloo.

Around 2 a.m. Sunday, police were called to University Commons Plaza at King Street North and University Avenue to reports than an argument had turned into a fight, and someone was stabbed.

But no victim was there. Soon after though, a victim arrived at hospital with a stab wound. He was later sent to an out-of-region hospital.

A 21-year-old man remains in serious but non-life threatening condition.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 519-570-9777.
