Pride Month events in Waterloo Region

Pride Month is back.
Throughout June, Waterloo Region will celebrate the local 2SLGBTQ+ community with a number of events and fundraisers around the area.
Here are three to add to the calendar:
tri-Pride Summer Festival – June 10
Explore over 50 vendors, a kids’ zone, beergarden and over 20 performers at Willow River Park (Victoria Park).
Live performances begin at 12 p.m., headlined by three-time Juno-nominated Alysha Brilla. Drag performances will follow at 4 p.m. Headliners include Trinity K. Bonet and Ongina from Rupaul’s Drag Race.

Cowboys and Angels – June 18
The local hair salon is having a fundraiser for SPECTRUM to support trans youth and for the AIDS Committee of Cambridge, Kitchener-Waterloo and Area (ACCKWA).
There will be haircuts, a barbeque and raffle prizes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the salon at 16 Princess Street East in Waterloo.
Come join us at Cowboys and Angels June 18th because they are having a fundraiser to benefit ACCKWA and Spectrum (trans youth).

SPECTRUM Fundraising Gala – June 29
An organization that aims to serve and support 2SLGBTQ+ people in Waterloo Region is holding its second annual fundraising gala.
Taking place at the Ken Sealing Waterloo Region Museum from 6 to 9:30 p.m., the event features dinner and a comedy show that’s headlined by Martha Chaves, a Nicaraguan-Canadian comedian, actress, activist and playwright.
