Tentative agreement reached between union, region

The Region of Waterloo announced that it has reached a tentative agreement with Unifor local 4304.
Negotiations were held between the employer and the union over the weekend.

The union represents Grand River Transit, busPLUS, MobilityPLUS operators, reservationists, fleet mechanics and service attendants.
Workers will hold a ratification vote Tuesday. The union said in a release that service will resume Thursday if the contract is ratified by the union membership.
Grand River Transit workers have been on strike since Monday, May 1.
