“You can BYOB… bring your own basket!”
The Uptown Waterloo Business Improvement Area (BIA) have announced a new Easter event.
They’re calling it the Uptown Waterloo Egg Hunt, and the plan is to make it an annual event similar to their “Halloween Treats in the Streets.”
The egg hunt will take place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Uptown Waterloo, in partnership with approximately 25 local businesses.
Executive Director Tracy Van Kelsbeek explains how the egg hunt works.
“You can go and visit all those different businesses and they’ll have a sweet treat that you’ll be able collect. It’s also a great way to explore uptown and see the different sites and businesses that are there.”
If you’re not sure where exactly to go, Van Kelsbeek said that they will be hard to miss.
“Our team will be set up in the square, and you’ll see our big tent there,” said Van Kelsbeek. “We have a colouring contest going on and we’re handing out sweet treats as well.”
Van Kelsbeek added that “The Uptown Explorer” will also make its debut and will be available for selfies all afternoon.
“This is open for everybody and welcoming for everybody. If you have a sweet tooth, join us in uptown on Saturday.”
No registration is required, and you can access a specialized map with hints about where you might find treats here.
