KW Siskins finish 1st in Midwestern Conference, open playoffs against Brantford

The KW Siskins went into game 50 of the regular season with the top spot in the Midwestern Conference on the line. 

The Siskins secured that number one spot in the conference Sunday, with a 6-2 win over Stratford Warriors.

KW finished the regular season with a record of 38-10-0-2 with 78 points putting them in first place in the conference. 

KW Siskins will now face the Brantford Bandits in the first round of the Midwestern Conference playoffs. 

The Bandits finished the season with a record of 2-45-3-0 for 8th spot in the conference. 

The regular season series between the two clubs was in favour of the Siskins going 7-0-0-0 in the regular season match-ups with Brantford. 

Game 1 of the series will be played Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. from the Waterloo Rec Complex. 

Further scheduling of the opening series will be released at a later date.
