Laurier ending mandatory mask requirements again

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

Wilfrid Laurier University is ending masking requirements at its campuses as of February 16.

That means face-coverings will no longer be mandatory, including in instructional spaces.

Laurier is still encouraging mask-wearing in higher-capacity, close-proximity settings and noted that requirements may be implemented again in the future if needed.

The university reintroduced mandatory masking rules in the fall.
