OPP investigating fatal collision west of Listowel

One person is dead after a two-vehicle collision in the Municipality of West Perth.

It happened just before 5 p.m. Monday on Perth Line 55 in the Monkton area.

Ontario Provincial Police say the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, now identified as 67-year-old Lawrence Hewitt of Harriston. 

Perth Line 55 was closed between Road 154 and Road 155 for the investigation.

Any possible witnesses are asked to call Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
