Man with knife arrested at Kitchener shopping centre

Police have made an arrest following a weapon-related call at the Sunrise Shopping Centre in Kitchener.
The incident happened the evening of December 2.
According to the police report, a male pushed a shopping cart into a vehicle. When the vehicle owner attempted to confront the suspect, he allegedly pulled a knife and threatened the victim.
The male youth victim was not hurt.
A 27-year-old Kitchener man has been charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause death and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The accused is set to appear in court on January 9.
