Pedestrian hit by vehicle in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a serious collision in Kitchener. 

On Friday at 9:25 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian near Homer Watson Boulevard and Ottawa Street South. 

Police believe that the driver of a red Hyundai SUV was proceeding through the roundabout while travelling on Homer Watson Boulevard and struck a pedestrian crossing the roadway. 

The pedestrian was transported to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries. 

The driver of the Hyundai, a 61-year-old Kitchener woman, did not sustain any physical injuries in the collision.

The investigation is ongoing.
