Humane Society launches appeal for kitten that requires emergency surgery

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth is looking to raise funds for a five-month-old kitten that requires emergency surgery to have one of his limbs amputated.

Tiny Tim, who was named by staff, arrived at the centre as a stray and in poor condition. An examination revealed a long list of health concerns, including a fracture in his front leg. A dislocated elbow in the same limb was also infected.

The kitten will have surgery on Tuesday.

As of Tuesday morning, over $2,800 had been raised to help pay for his care. The Humane Society set a goal of $4,000.
