Experience current exhibitions with all five senses at the KWAG

By Isabel Buckmaster

Folks across the K-W can devour art with their eyes, mouths, and more as Feast for the Senses 13 returns to the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery (KWAG) for its thirteenth season.

Featuring a decadent, tapas-inspired tasting menu and drink pairings inspired by current exhibitions at the KWAG, the event will be catered by Chef Kay Miller of Braai and Butter, a private catering company inspired by an international perspective on ingredients and flavours.

South African-born Miller learned the fundamentals of cooking as an art, well-being, and hospitality in the rural deserts of Mexico. Her decade-long career has allowed her to work in some of the highest-rated restaurants in Guelph, learning different styles, techniques, and flavour profiles of Canadian culture.

The wine steward at their eleventh event in February 2020, Rebecca Pettigrew, will serve as wine sommelier for the evening. A multi-certified wine professional with diplomas from both the International Sommelier Guild and the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, her business, The Winey Somm, allows Pettigrew to share her passion with others through wine tastings, consultation and a monthly wine club.

Online ticket sales for Feast for the Senses 13 will remain open until November 10 (Thursday) at 4 p.m. and cost $65.00 per person.
