Arrest made in connection with sexual assault investigation

Police have made an arrest in connection to a Kitchener sexual assault investigation. 

On October 2, 2022, at approximately 2 a.m., a woman was sexually assaulted by an unknown man.

On Friday, members of WRPS’ Special Victims Unit and Major Crime Unit arrested and charged a 47-year-old Kitchener man in connection to this sexual assault. He was charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, and overcoming resistance to commit an indictable offence.

The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
