With the Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Day Parade returning this year, the annual event is looking for residents who can help out.
Volunteers are needed to fill positions including, marshals, sign carriers and food drive collectors.
The opportunities are available for those 13 and older. Applications can be found on the Oktoberfest website.
The parade begins at 8:30 a.m. at Frederick Street and Weber Street East in Kitchener on Monday, October 10.
There's also a 'name the puppy' contest this year.
Residents are being asked to submit a name for the newest parade float — a brown puppy dressed in its Oktoberfest best, sporting a pair of extra-large lederhosen.
The contest winner will win a one-year supply of dog food from Nutram. You can enter by clicking here.
