The Greater Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards were handed out Thursday night.

The awards ceremony was held in-person, but was also broadcast virtually.

Among those recognized were Grand River Hospital, which was named the 2022 Business of the Year with 50+ employees.

“This award is truly a reflection of our team who have worked tirelessly, yet have remained laser focused on ensuring high quality care for those they serve,” said the hospital's President and CEO, Ron Gagnon, in a release. “To be recognized in a community that is known for its achievements and innovations is very humbling. However, to accept this award on behalf of the GRH team makes this recognition even more meaningful and rewarding.”
