Grand River Transit is still looking for the owner of a lost stuffed bunny and wants to give it a name in the interim.
The bunny was recovered from a bus shelter in the Belmont Avenue and Highland Road area of Kitchener in early February.
Someone riding a passing bus spotted the stuffed animal, and was worried it may be important to someone in the community.
The bunny was taken in by Grand River Transit staff, and GRT has been posting updates about its adventures on social media.
Since it has been in GRT's care for almost two months, staff wanted to give the stuffed animal a name and narrowed down three options: Harriet, Monty, and Ryder.
GRT had a poll up on its Twitter page, @GRT_ROW, and you had until the morning of March 27 to vote.
On Monday, GRT announced the bunny's name will be Ryder.
Say hello to Ryder! That's the name you picked for #lostbunny in our poll.
We'd still love to find his original family, but Ryder will have a home at GRT for as long as he needs it! pic.twitter.com/Xi9OSQImAo

We’re still hoping to find #lostbunny’s family, but for now, it will have a home at GRT!
We’ve got the ad-hop-tion papers all ready, but we’re not sure what name to put on them! What do you think bunny’s name should be? (And no, we're not calling it Bunny McBunface!) ?? pic.twitter.com/1vmbevjOXr

We’re hoptimistic bunny will find its fur-ever home, and will have some hare-raising tails to tell! pic.twitter.com/6jfU3q9WXk
