Victim assaulted with firearm during fight in Kitchener

An arrest has been made following a fight in Kitchener.

It happened late Saturday evening, in the area of King Street East and Fairway Road North.

According to police, the victim was approached by a group of individuals and allegedly assaulted with a firearm.

A 31-year-old Kitchener man is now facing several charges, including assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm and possession of a firearm or weapon contrary to prohibition order.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
