One person assaulted during Cambridge robbery

Police say one person was assaulted during a person-on-person robbery in Cambridge.

It happened Saturday, just after 11:30 p.m., in the area of Simcoe Street and Ainslie Street North.

According to police, the victim was assaulted by an unknown suspect or suspects, and had their personal belongings taken.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe it was a targeted incident.
