Suspect arrested in connection with sudden death investigation

Waterloo Regional Police have made an arrest in connection with a sudden death investigation in Cambridge.

Police say Ronnie Williams was located in the city on Saturday afternoon and arrested on an outstanding warrant. Charges on the warrant included trafficking fentanyl and criminal negligence causing death.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Police put out an alert on January 13 that they were searching for Williams.

The death dates back to December 18, 2020.
