Ontario reports 666 new COVID cases Sunday

Public Health Ontario reported 666 new COVID cases today.

The latest updates noted 467 recoveries and four new deaths. There were also three deaths reported that occurred more than a month ago and added to the cumulative total based on data cleaning.

The Nov. 14 updates provided by the province's public health agency and the ministry of health also reported the following data:

  • 4,778 active, lab-confirmed cases, up from 4,586 yesterday.
  • 126 people are hospitalized with COVID-19
    • More than 10 per cent of hospitals did not submit data, which means the number of people hospitalized could increase as more hospitals submit data following the weekend.
  • Included in the new cases reported today are 300 unvaccinated, 24 partially vaccinated, and 300 fully vaccinated people. 42 cases were reported with the vaccination status unknown. 
  • Vaccination status data is not updated on Sunday due to incomplete weekend reporting.
  • There are 107 COVID-positive patients in the ICU plus another 26 patients no longer testing positive for COVID-19.
  • There are 65 COVID-positive patients on ventilators and another 13 patients on ventilators no longer testing positive for COVID. 
  • 11,147,412 Ontarians have been fully vaccinated.
  • The province reported 24,853 tests were processed yesterday, resulting in a 2.7 per cent positivity rate.

Public Health Ontario has confirmed 607,173 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, and reported 592,461  recoveries and 9,934 deaths.
