Ontario's COVID-19 vaccine certificate system went into effect on Wednesday.
Patrons at dine-in restaurants, nightclubs, gyms, sports facilities and other venues must present a receipt of full vaccination along with government identification.
Anyone who does not have a copy of their vaccine receipts, the Region of Waterloo has released the following information on how you can access them:
- Individuals who have a green photo health card can log into Ontario’s COVID-19 vaccination portal to download or print their receipts.
- Individuals who have a red and white health card can call the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1-833-943-3900 to arrange to receive their vaccine receipts by mail.
- Individuals who do not have a health card can call the Region’s Service First Call Centre at 519-514-1499.
- If you do not have access to a printer and want printed copies of your vaccine receipts, you can go to either The Boardwalk or Cambridge Pinebush vaccination clinics, or visit your local library for assistance.
For those who received the vaccine outside of the province, the region will not be able to provide vaccine receipt, but say you can use vaccine receipts from another jurisdiction as proof of vaccination until further updates are available from the provincial government.
