Kitchener man charged in sexual assault investigation

The Waterloo Regional Police Service's Special Victims Unit has arrested a male in connection to a sexual assault.
On July 25, 2021, at approximately 2:40 a.m., police responded to a business in the area of Victoria Street North and Natchez Road in Kitchener for a report of a sexual assault. The female victim was in the parking lot when she was approached and sexually assaulted by an unknown male.
On July 27, 2021, as a result of the ongoing investigation, a 24-year-old Kitchener male was arrested. The accused was charged with Sexual Assault, Assault and Forcible Confinement.
The male was held in custody for a bail hearing on July 28, 2021.
