It's the end of the road for another local business.
Rhapsody Barrel Bar announced on Thursday that it will not reopen its doors.
The establishment is located in downtown Kitchener and first opened in March of 2016.
It hosted dozens of music acts and comedians over the years, and was a popular entertainment destination for many in the community.
“My heart breaks for my staff and friends who have helped and been by my side through this incredible experience. There isn't enough room in this letter for the words it would take to express the loss I feel. I'm forever in your debt,” said Rhapsody's owner, Tammy Lawrence, in a Facebook post.
Rhapsody Barrel Bar shut down on March 15 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and Lawrence cites financial struggles for the permanent closure.
