Carla Prestia has Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.
The mother of two young children was diagnosed in March and is currently getting chemotherapy.
Toonk says her sister will get a double mastectomy next month.
The funds raised will help cover extra drug costs, support from an American-based cancer program, and cover special garments and pillows.
She says her sister has an amazing cancer team here in the region and she is doing well during her ongoing chemo treatments.
The GoFundMe page has already raised over $11,000 of its $20,000 goal.
