Police investigating early morning shooting in Kitchener

A man suffered gunshot wounds after an early morning shooting in Kitchener.

Waterloo Regional Police say it happened early Sunday in the area of Charles St. E. and Cedar St. S., when numerous callers reported hearing multiple gunshots.

A spokesperson for Regional Police says that it happened around 2:00 a.m., as people were gathered at a residence in the area when a disturbance broke out between two individuals, which resulted in one man being shot.

The injured man is in stable condition, and officers are still piecing together what happened.
