Thousands affected by early morning power outages (update)

**All major power outages were restored at 12:30 p.m.**

Power has been restored in the Brigadoon, Bridgeport, Strasburg and Williamsburg areas of Kitchener and in New Dundee.

Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro says ice and wind caused power outages that affected over 5,600 customers.
