LoveMyHood tree planting program looking for group applications

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

The City of Kitchener is still looking for neighbourhoods to apply for a new tree planting pilot sponsored by LoveMyHood.

The program will allow chosen groups to be able to help plant trees in five city-owned, public areas in Kitchener.

The subsidized tree planting program is a part of Kitchener's first Urban Forest Strategy, which aims to create sustainable urban forests.

Interested groups can submit an application to the City of Kitchener here.

For Kitchener residents who are interested in tree-planting on residential lots can find more information here.
