Jim Hallman to be presented with 2018 Citizen of the Year award

A big honour for a local businessman, philanthropist and volunteer.
Jim Hallman has been named the K-W Citizen of the Year for 2018.
Hallman has served as Chair of the Lyle S. Hallman Foundation and President of Hallman Construction Limited. He has also supported the local sports scene through the Kitchener Hallman Twins fastball team and the annual Peter Hallman Memorial Fast Pitch Tournament.
Hallman said it's really been a partnership with his wife Sue.
“We've been fortunate with what we've been able to accomplish over the years. So we try to give back financially as much as we can – we were taught from an early age to give back to the community, and one of the ways is through money and by giving our time.”
A gala will be held in Hallman's honour at the Crowne Plaza in Kitchener on Thursday.
