Stone Soup benefit concert back in Waterloo Region

By Cali Doran

This year marks the fifth annual Stone Soup benefit concert.

Each year the proceeds from the event go to a different organization, and this year Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region will be receiving a donation.

Alan Quarry is the Chairman with Heart Beats Hate. He told the Mike Farwell show there is a an exciting line up of performers in store. “Beggers Banquet will be on stage playing their Rolling Stones tribute, fabulous. Then we have a great new group called Monowhales, they are kind of rock fusion, they are incredible.”

Also featured on stage will be Joni NehRita and Band and Royal Castles.

There will be a number of different items available at the auction, including an autographed Keith Richards album cover.

The event will be held tonight at the MUSEUM starting at 7 p.m., and tickets are on sale for $25.
