Three hurt in crash involving horse and buggy (update)

Waterloo Regional Police say charges are pending following a crash involving a pickup truck and a horse drawn buggy.

Three passengers in the buggy were taken to hospital.

One suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries, the other two suffered minor injuries.

Police say the horse was also hurt.

The crash happened shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Sunday on Arthur Street near Sandy Hills Drive, just outside Elmira.

The driver of the pickup, an Elmira man, 19, was not injured.
