OPP and WRPS team up for theft investigation, Kitchener man charged

A Kitchener man faces a number of theft-related charges in connection with a joint investigation by provincial and regional police.

Oxford County OPP and Waterloo Regional Police teamed up earlier this month to investigate a pair of property crimes.

They say it began when a 2012 Honda Civic was stolen from a gas station in Kitchener, and items were later stolen from a work truck parked in Blandford Blenheim.

Officers determined the same man was responsible for both crimes, and ultimately tracked him down in Bright on Thursday.

The 34-year-old was spotted inside of a John Street home, but exited and surrendered without incident.

OPP say Neil Hunsberger of Kitchener faces numerous charges, including theft over $5,000 and possession of a controlled substance.
