Three impaired drivers arrested in two days: Cambridge OPP

Provincial police are out with a reminder for local drivers — don’t drink and drive!

Cambridge OPP say they arrested and charged three people with impaired driving-related offences in the span of just two days this week.

It all started Wednesday, when a Kitchener man was caught speeding down Highway 401 at Homer Watson. Officers determined the man had been drinking, and the 24-year-old was charged with impaired and stunt driving.

Later that day, officers were called to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 85 at King Street. One of the drivers registered over three times the legal blood-alcohol limit. A 31-year-old Kitchener woman was charged.

On Thursday, police received reports that a man appeared to be drunk at a gas station on Hespeler Road. A 55-year-old Brampton man was charged with impaired driving and possession of cocaine.

OPP are reminding us that any amount of alcohol or drugs can impair one’s ability to drive. If you plan on drinking or using drugs, don’t plan on driving.
