GRT driver facing charge in crash

A GRT bus driver has been charged for a collision with a pedestrian.

Waterloo Regional Police say it happened Monday morning around 11:30, at Charles and Benton in Kitchener.

The pedestrian was walking a bicycle through the intersection, and was hit by the bus, suffering an ankle injury.

The charge against the bus driver is ‘Fail to yield to pedestrian.’
