Round two of Victoria Street Bridge closure underway

A major bridge in Kitchener is shutting down this weekend for road work.
The Victoria Street Bridge over the Expressway between Bruce and Edna streets will be shut down until 5 a.m., Monday.
The closure is to allow for continued reconstruction of the overpass — a $14-million contract — which also includes the reconstruction of the on and off ramps in the area.
The Region says Victoria will be open to businesses and residences, however those looking to travel along Victoria will be detoured via Frederick Street.
The Ministry of Transportation says the project is expected to be completed by mid-October.
