Fred Fox to visit New Hamburg, Saturday

With annual Terry Fox runs taking place across the country next month, the Wilmot Terry Fox Run has secured a special visit in hopes of advancing fundraising efforts.
Fred Fox, Terry’s older brother, will visit New Hamburg, Saturday, to discuss with organizers the best ways to continue raising money for the run in September, and help spread Terry’s message of hope.
“The legacy of Terry Fox is still out there,” says co-organizer Cheryl Gordijk, “and I think in some ways this is just a bit of a thank you in general to everyone that still participates and still wants to honour Terry’s name.”
You’ll have a chance to snap selfies with Fred at a meet and greet between 9:30 a.m., and 10:30 a.m. at MeMe’s and then 11 a.m., and 12:30 p.m., at Sobeys in New Hamburg.
