Regional Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a Cambridge man currently wanted on a warrant.
Police say 47 year old John Darren McCluskey committed an Indignity to a Body in relation to the human remains found in North Dumfries on July 12, identified as Christopher Deweese.
“This is the third warrant relating to Indignity to a Body. There were two previous ones,” says Corporate Communications Coordinator, Alana Russell. “The charge of Indignity to a Body relates to any interference with the proper burial of human remains. The human remains in this case were located in a field, and we believe that this individual did not die in that field, so ultimately there may be cause for Indignity to a Body in this case.”
The other two were a 29 year old Cambridge woman, and a 44 year old Kitchener man.
He is considered violent, and police ask that you do not approach him.
“It’s important to remember we’re just looking for information towards locating him, and not necessarily looking for individuals to approach him,” explains Russell.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Regional Police Major Crime Unit at 519-650-8500 ext 8309 or contact Crime Stoppers.
