More dismembered cats found in Kitchener

There’s a fresh new warning to pet owners in the northwest area of Kitchener this morning.

Regional Police say they’re now dealing with even more reports of dismembered animals turning up.

Police say they’re now investigating seven reports after other dead animals were found the northwest area of the city.

The discoveries date back to late June when two dead cats were found in the Lancaster Street area.

On July 11th, a dismembered cat was found in the Wolfes Court and Carson Drive area.

Then on August 8th, WRPS say a dismembered cat was found in the Champlain and Carson Drive area.

Other remains were also found around Carson Drive.

And police say they are still trying to confirm the animal remains there.

Police say they continue to work with the K-W Humane Society as part of this investigation.
