Whats open/closed for your holiday Monday

As the second last official long weekend of the summer comes to an end, and whether you are coming back from the cottage, or spent the weekend at home, here is a quick rundown of what is open and closed.

All offices at all the city halls will be closed, all regional libraries, all community centres and the Kitchener market will be closed.

Cambridge and Waterloo small vehicle transfer stations for residential waste drop-off will also be closed.

But all garbage, recycling, green bin and yard waste collection is running as usual.

If you need to get around the city, Charles Street and Ainslie Street bus terminals will be open, and the buses will be running on a Sunday schedule.

If you are flying in or out of the region the Region of Waterloo International airport will not be affected.

If you need some last minute items for your civic holiday party, all regional grocery stores will be open.

And if you need something to do with the kids all outdoor pools in Kitchener will be open and the Waterloo Region Museum is throwing a summer party with horse drawn wagon ride, horseshoes, and stilt walking.
