St. Mary’s warns of local donation scam

St. Mary’s General Hospital has issued a warning about a possible scam making its way through Waterloo Region.
There have been reports of phone solicitations, emails, and grant requests claiming to be from or associated with St. Mary’s General Hospital Foundation.
A spokesperson says as a rule, St. Mary’s staff will only call you to thank you for your donation, not to request one.
They are asking everyone to forward suspicious inquiries to Marketing & Communications Director, Amy Dean at adean@supportstmarys.ca.
