Huron County OPP say a missing Cambridge girl has been found safe and sound.
Police say 9-year-old Alexandra Deacon had been visiting relatives at a residence on Brandon Road in Ethel – that’s between Atwood and Brussels.
Police say she was last seen leaving the home with her mother and brother on Wednesday night.
A few days later, police received a report of a suspicious vehicle on Brandon Road.
Constable Jame Stanley with Huron County OPP says when they went out to Brandon Road they found the mother trying to care for a younger sibling and were concerned she wasn’t able to provide that.
Constable Stanley says that is when they learned of Alexandra and attempts were made to try to locate her, to confirm her safety and well-being.
Police says the mother was not cooperative during the investigation in terms of where Alexandra location was.
Constable Stanley says there are no details on where Alexandra was for the past 5 days, but he says she was in a place deemed not dangerous.
