Sears Canada raises doubts about its future

Troubled national retailer Sears Canada is casting doubts about its future.

It says it’s only been able to arrange about 109-million dollars to meet financial obligations over the next year — 66-million less than anticipated — and there’s “significant doubt” of its ability to continue as a going concern.

Sears Canada didn’t announce any plans for dealing with the financial uncertainty but says its annual meeting set for tomorrow has been postponed until an unspecified date.
