Severe thunderstorm watch ended for Waterloo Region

Environment Canada has ended a severe thunderstorm watch for Waterloo Region and surrounding areas.

The weather authority anticipated afternoon thunderstorms which were capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, and torrential rainfall.

The weather statement ended around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
