Waterloo Region gets ready for second LRV to roll into town

The second light rail vehicle for the region’s ION is on track to arrive on time.
In under two months we will see another LRV on the newly laid tracks through Kitchener and Waterloo.
Councillor Tom Galloway, Regional Chair Ken Seiling and several other councillors visited Bombardier’s Kingston plant on Monday to make sure everything was on schedule.
Galloway says there are five vehicles in production with the second vehicle currently undergoing testing before being shipped to the region from Kingston.
All of the vehicles are expected to be shipped to our region by December with the LRT up and running by early 2018.
