The Blue Jays open their 2017 campaign in Baltimore on Monday afternoon.

You can listen to the game on 570 NEWS at 3 p.m. You can also watch it on Sportsnet.

Ian Hunter runs bluejayhunter.com and believes this team has post-season potential. “Considering their starting rotation and the guys they have in the line-up, wild card aspirations aren’t out of the realm for them.”

As was the case in 2016, Hunter says the Jays will live and die by their starting rotation. “If you can get a bounce back campaign from Francisco Liriano and if Marcus Stroman has figured things out, then there’s actually the potential for the Blue Jays starting rotation to throw better in 2017 than they did last year.”

He says Devon Travis is probably the key to the team’s success this year, adding if he appears in 140 to 150 games, Travis will be a difference maker.
