Man charged following fire in Clinton

A Huron County man has been charged with arson after a fire broke out early Saturday morning at the intersection of Highway 4 and Highway 8 in Clinton.

The suspect was held for a bail hearing on Sunday.

Police say they have reason to believe the fire was set deliberately.

As a result of the fire, Highway 4 between Huron Street and Rattenbury Street is anticipated to remain closed for the next two days.
