Kate Reid’s killer to be sentenced in February

Hugh McColl will be sentenced on February 17th.
The 63-year-old was found guilty of second-degree murder on Wednesday in the killing of 51-year-old Kate Reid in Kitchener in January of 2015.
Court heard McColl repeatedly hit Reid in the head with a hammer, in a dispute over rent.
It happened at the apartment they lived in on Burn Place.
The Record says McColl faces an automatic life sentence, but could be eligible for parole in ten years.
